  1. NGC5128 is a peculiar and controversial 
  2. galaxy. Until recently, there has been 
  3. much confusion as to whether it was in 
  4. fact a galaxy at all or diffuse nebula. 
  5. With a luminosity equal to 20 Billion 
  6. suns, this is one of the brightest 
  7. galaxies known. It has a diameter of about 
  8. 100,000 light years and an absolute 
  9. magnitude of -21! This is a strong 
  10. source of radio emissions, 1000 times
  11. more powerful than the Milky Way.
